Post Production Update

Hi everyone,

We wanted to give all of you a brief update on a couple of things. First off, we've recently changed our name to Cold Spark Films. We're the same people, and we're still working on the same projects, just a new name and logo.

We're still working hard on post production for our feature film The Adventures of Food Boy. The movie is coming together really well and we're excited to start sharing it with everyone. The first clip we'll be able to share will be a brief trailer that we'll post here within the next week or so.

In the meantime, we've included below a couple of candid stills from filming this past summer that we haven't posted before. Thanks for your support and keep checking back for our first trailer!

TimpView High School

Last week we scouted TimpView High School in Provo, Utah, where we will be filming for The Adventures of Food Boy. It's going to be a great place to film!

Here we have our director, Dane Cannon, and director of photography, Ryan Cannon (no relation), in a classroom; a beauty shot of the track and football stands; and a volleyball scrimmage between the production team and the camera and art departments.

Lucas Grabeel to play Ezra

We are thrilled to annouce that Lucas Grabeel will be playing the lead character, Ezra, in The Adventures of Food Boy. You may recognize Lucas from Disney's High School Musical, where he played Ryan. At one point in 2006, Lucas had three songs on the iTunes top ten download list.

We are excited about the talent he will bring to this role and the whole film. Check out the IMDB profile for Lucas here.

Even more cast members annouced

We have several more cast members to announce.

Jeff Braine as Dylan (see Jeff's IMDB profile)

In the beginning...

So this is the first post to our new blog on the making of The Adventures of Food Boy. We'll use this as a way to keep everyone updated on how things are progressing and our ongoing adventures as we produce this film.

Marc Mangum, our producer and writer, arrived here in Utah last week and has set up shop in a house in Provo that we have named "The Palace" because, if you saw it, you'd say, "Now that's a palace." The Palace will also be home base for our production office this summer.

Dane Cannon, our director, is so focused on reading the script over and over that he has been turning down dates on an almost daily basis. Maybe after this project is over he'll be able to find a girlfriend.

We spent most of last week in casting sessions with our savvy casting director, Jennifer Buster. We were pleasantly surprised at the level of talent that came through--very few of the auditions looked like the disasters you might see at the beginning of American Idol.

Peace out.
